Project Sunkalp | Camp KVT-MDTK-040 | 19.08.2026
45 people from Munnuthikuppam came forward to take an important step towards protecting their health through early cancer screening.
At the Project Sunkalp cancer screening camp held at the Panchayat Office, Munnuthikuppam, Madurantakam, both women and men from the community participated:
37 clinical breast examinations
42 oral cancer examinations
26 Pap smear screenings
The camp brought together 41 women and 4 men, highlighting an important message: cancer awareness and early detection are essential for every community.
Breast, cervical, and oral cancers can develop without obvious symptoms in their early stages. Regular screening helps identify suspicious changes earlier, giving individuals the opportunity to seek timely medical attention and improving the chances of successful treatment.
For many people in rural communities, access to specialised healthcare can be challenging due to distance, cost, time, or limited awareness. By bringing screening services directly to the community, Project Sunkalp helps remove these barriers and makes preventive healthcare more accessible.
Every person who comes forward for screening is taking a proactive step towards protecting their health. Every screening camp also creates an opportunity to spread awareness among families and encourage communities to make preventive healthcare a priority.
Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust continues to work with panchayats, PHCs, local communities, healthcare professionals, and CSR partners to expand access to cancer screening across Madurantakam.
We believe early detection should be within everyone's reach. Together, we can build healthier, better-informed, and cancer-aware communities.
Kalpavriksham Trust is registered under 12AB, 80G, and CSR-1 (MCA) and is listed on NGO Darpan. We provide transparent, camp-wise impact reports for every CSR partnership.
